Longo's "Fore Kids' Sake" Charity Golf Tournament

Over the past 28 years, your generous support and loyal participation has helped raise over $3.6 million benefitting local hospitals, children's charities and kids' camps across the Greater Toronto Area.
Even if you are not a "golfer", there are many ways to participate as we welcome sponsorship, tax receiptable donations and the opportunity to sample your products to over 500 participants.
Join us for an all day "food and fun fest" disguised as a golf tournament. We have all day food sampling, along with fun on-course events (a chance to win a $25,000 Longo's Gift Card and an opportunity to meet and greet and "Beat the Longo" on select par 3s).

Our first tournament hosted 75 golfers at Indian Wells Golf Club in Burlington and raised $5,000 for SickKids’ Hospital.
By 1994, the tournament was so successful and the increasingly positive response (up to 300 golfers), led us to host our current morning and afternoon format. For another 18 years, we hosted our tournament at Kleinburg Golf Club.
In just six short years, we celebrated our first sell-out year, meaning that we filled all 432 available spots. $60,000 was raised for SickKids’, Peel Memorial (now William Osler Health Centre) and Credit Valley Hospitals (now Trillium Health Partners).
With the closing of Kleinburg Golf Club for development in 2010, our tournament was moved to the prestigious Lionhead Golf & Conference Centre, allowing us to increase the number of golfers.
In 2017, we raised nearly $310,000 (NET proceeds) from our signature fundraising event, benefiting local hospitals, children’s charities and kids’ camps across the GTA by hosting 510 golfers over two shotguns!
Over the past 28 years, we are happy to report that we’ve hosted over 10,500 golfers and collectively raised over $3.6 million!
Highlights from past events include: a hole-in-one winner in 2004 – Peter Willson- who won a 2-year lease on a Ford Mustang and we’ve enjoyed the company of golfing with a few celebrities (the late Johnny Bower in 2004, Walter Gretzky in 2008 and Frank Ferragine in 2010).
2017 marked the 28th year of this Fresh Tradition; a tradition that allows us to honour Tommy’s vision with the ultimate gathering and give back to our communities which is the legacy of each of our 3 Founders, Tommy, Joe and Gus Longo. By combining a passion for golf with a love of friends, family, business and community partners, we come together every year to share a day of golf, food and fun, while working together for a common purpose – to help inspire healthy families and make our communities a better place.
Early Bird Tournament
Time: 6:30am (registration & breakfast on the patio)
Shotgun start: 7:00 am
Luncheon: immediately following golf
Time: 12:30 pm (registration & lunch on the patio)
Shotgun start: 1:30 pm
Dinner: immediately following golf
Format: Both shotguns will be played as a Scramble. Every player tees off at each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. This continues until the ball is holed out.
If you require the use of rental golf clubs, please indicate on the registration form. The cost is $35 per rental for the day and you must pre-order and pay with your registration.
The day’s events will also include:
• chance to “Beat the Longo” to win a Longo’s Gift Card on select par 3s
• chance to win Groceries for a Year with a hole-in-one ($25,000 Longo's Gift Card)
Lionhead’s beautifully landscaped grounds incorporate the natural beauty of meadows, wetlands, forests and natural foliage on 520 acres of land.
For those who appreciate a course that will challenge every club in your bag Lionhead recommends the Legends, a difficult and demanding layout set amongst steeply rolling terrain, wooded ravines and the picturesque Credit River.
For golfers who prefer a vigorous but slightly less demanding course, the Masters fits the bill as a Florida-type course with unique bunkers and scenic ponds on several holes.
Your day will include complimentary amenities such as:
• Valet service to the Pro Shop
• Full service locker room
• Access to lounge, dining room, halfway house and refreshment carts

Donation of items for the prize tables are most welcome! You can simply bring the day of the tournament.
